WELL IT’S OVER AGAIN FOR THE AUSTRALIAN POKER TOUR IN THIS WHACKY YEAR OF 2020.

Wrap Au PokerPoker

Hosting a tournament series in these troublesome times has certainly been a challenge, yet through perseverance and effort we got there to finish off the year on a high note. Primarily our first thanks must go out to YOU the players who create this crazy game and lofty heights that we achieve. It was wonderful seeing so many familiar faces to reacquaint, and meet quite a few new faces too. Welcome to the APT family!!

Our next thanks goes to our wonderful hosts at Eatons Hill Hotel, who provide the fantastic venue we all play in, nothing seems to be impossible with PJ, Murray and their dedicated teams.

Our amazing sponsors, some old and some new, with Chris Arcella and Enlighten Home Loans, Nik and Dracakis Jewellers, Thrifty Car Rentals, Andrew Shanahan and his team at Andrew’s Airport Parking, and old favs Robs @Pokershop.com.au and King Playing Cards , who are all yet again on board to support us, a big thank you. Our new sponsors Ryan Hartshorn at Hartshorn Distillery. Jason Ralph and the crew at Poker Republik & Republik Bar, and Match Poker Online, it is great to receive new support when times have been difficult, yet you saw your way to help us out.

To all of the APT Shareholders who helped out, Luke Pearson, Joshua Mellors, Peter Percival and Robert Donachy, a huge effort to cover those who were MIA in the Covid19 lockdown , new roles, longer hours, yet carried the APT brand through with great distinction.

And to those unlucky APT guys in the background, Rob Dzurovski, Simon Watts, Mark Abrahim and Leigh Nothrop, although you were not here physically, the mental support and background organization throughout the series was extremely appreciated.

Next in line for their share of thankitude is our STAFF!! All of you worked extremely hard and long hours to cope with the maddening crowd, cannot fault you for effort and commitment, once again awesome effort, with limited resources and notice. Cheers to newcomers Steve Deen, Ben Rawson, Craig “The satellite King” Lowe, and once again, Matty Leyy, The Maguire boys, Scotty, Aydo, Jimmy Haycroft and our hidden gem in the chip room, Sophie, who goes unrewarded and unseen most of the time we are there! Thanks guys.

Dealers… where would you be without them? Self dealing of course… Thank you Brian for being our wrangler, Taylor, Princess and the crew… you all reflect the professionalism that reflects the core values of the APT brand, once again tremendous effort.. *Side note, Brian we know who is the real boss*..

Support crew Georgia and Di, new systems again but you managed it well, huge hours yet smiley faces (most times) throughout the whole 5 days!!! Thank you for being awesome!! (Missed you Jen).

Last but not least, Ms Gigi Fab, who had to do about 17 jobs over the series, from social media broadcasting, reporter, photographer, computer repairer and more, albeit through difficult times. Geej you are a star….
